Buckle Your Seat Belt – For Auto Safety. If a car stops suddenly, the objects within that vehicle continue to move in the same forward direction and with momentum. It is Newton’s laws of motion – an object in motion continues in motion. In this case it is your car and your occupants. Buckle up. Seat-belts keep occupants of your vehicle securely in their seat and in their place – safely. Inertia is the culprit here . Time and inertia prevail.
A properly worn seat belt saves lives -whether it is yourself, your friends or family – or even the members of any other vehicle that you are involved in a collision or accident with. Why not play it safe ?
Why take foolish chances unnecessarily. Without a seat belt your forward motions will be stopped by the dashboard , steering wheel or windscreen. You might think , foolishly that you can hold yourself back with your arms and your strength. Not true. Even at only a moderate speed of 20 – 25 miles per hour mph a sudden stop can throw you and your body right through your front windshield – safety glass or not.
