The history  of the Toyota Corolla goes back itself all the way to 1966 .  Since then the venerable Corolla has stood the test of time.  Indeed it can be said to be in its 10′th generation  .  Sales and acceptance can be said to be stronger and greater than ever.

With the exception of the performance XRS model ( which has since returned in 2009 carrying a new 2.4 liter 158 hp engine itself borrowed from the Toyota Camry line)  , all Corollas come equipped with a fuel efficient 1.8 liter inline four cylinder motor.

Highlights of the new Toyota Corolla line can be said to include the full product lineup which includes the luxury end LE model .   The LE packs such luxuries as wood trim, push button start with proximity sensing key and a power driver’s seat as well.  Next is the Corolla LE model which sports sporty seats, alloy wheels and a rear spoiler to spruce up its image.

In 2009 one will notice a stiffer frame ,thicker glass all around ad improved sound insulation leading to the observation that the Corolla may well be one of the quietest cars that you will drive on the road.
