Whenever there is a problem anywhere in your car’s electrical system , check first and foremost to see if there is a fuse for that accessory. If there is examine whether it is “blown”. If a fuse is blown a thin metal strip inside the sealed fuse container – glass or plastic cylinder - that strip will be broken or blackened.
Take this simple examination before you call for help – and involve diagnostic and service costs and perhaps even a tow job across town. It is an too common occurrence today for vehicles – be they car , truck,SUV or van to be towed into a dealership or service station , at great expense to the vehicle owner. when the problem could of been solved and remedied with a simple inexpensive fuse from your local Canadian Tire store.
Its an old North End of Winnipeg adage – do not waste your time or money.
