You might think that with all events in the automotive industry that some some semblance of reality might have invaded the reaches of upper management and even union hacks in the auto industry.  Not so.Take this as an example of the results of “long term planning” , “extensive market and focus group research” and just plain American common sense and ingenuity.

Springtime 2009 the headlines of the important prestigious “Geneva Auto Show”  where the car makers worldwide announce their common products and landmark marketing innovations on the way the basic summary was “Beneath all the Glitz Panic Prevailed’. It is all akin to carefully arranging the  deck chairs on the Titanic before its untimely accident with  its meeting with an iceberg.  Or some Schemendrick carefully planning his route to a concert , scouting out the area and route again and again , only not to attend the event due to reckless fast driving on his part , and being pulled over by the authorities for a D.U.I. and reckless and dangerous driving charge.

So goes life and the auto industry .  It seems that the major splashes at the Geneva “Auto Show”  were from Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin.
