Part 2 – “Modern Methods in 2009 / 2010 for Modern Auto Thieves”
It seems in many cases that these purveyors of modern theft techniques often do not work only by themselves – seemingly in isolation. Its the Romans with teams of these criminals working in concert and unison. You might think that it was Werner von Braun fooling the allies after WW2 with tales of elaborate deception and coordination with almost flawless professional acting in place. In some cases even the crooks have help from an insider – a store employee , usually though not always placed strategically in the auto sales or finance department
The authorities note of these bogus auto sales that in many cases that a person or personalities are sent to the dealership in essence to infiltrate that operation or department. With luxury sales the stakes , and final profit figures to the new purchasers so to speak are just that good and profitable. Add in a luxury Cadillac , Lexus or GMC new truck to the mix and its worth the efforts to slip in several not one new car dealer sales “staff” onboard. Members of the theft team ring are sent almost exclusively to the new salesperson or finance person , or their intrinsic team a number of times , until reality of the real sales figures and costs is tallied and added up in the ledger and profit / loss figures of the dealership. By the time reality hits , the thieves have absconded , salespeople and their “finance arm” are gone and the vehicle / vehicles are on board to their new passage, destination and final highways byways and owners.
