Profit Levels in an Automotive Business- Watch Out for Ego

Its a new year – 2010.   It may well be time to do a makeover – to analyze strengths and weaknesses a business – be it a new car dealership , a used car lot , or a service operation.

A business that does not do an inventory process – take an inventory on a regular basis will often go bust  – out of business.   So is it with your business – be it a corner garage , a Popsicle stand or even a new car automotive high end dealership.

How does your business operation generate cash and profit – not only cash flow.  Apparently one uninformed manager having read on the plane of all the wealth generated by those in the movie and recording industry went on at great length – little so and so is making x gazillion dollars , and …… $  ,  $$$$$$$$.  At some point the uninformed non authority was asked the pointed question – is that dollars taken in or final profit.

It seems that ego often gets in the way of more than one “successful”  businessman / person , operator or promoter.   The dangers are not to let ego get into the mix between a commercial operation and final profit levels.
