Some say the magic date in the wind was early June 2008 .    One can correlate the date to the very day (almost) that the mighty Ford F-100  lost it’s title of “Best Selling Vehicle in the USA” for 26 years running .  Coincidence ?  Perhaps or perhaps not.   On the other hand the auto , truck and SUV industries might just of run out of steam – or were running on promises, an old built up reputation and it all was coming and did come to a head – or a dead end.

Its all a matter of conjecture perhaps , who you talk to , what books or auto magazines you read or what you want to know and see
