Do not touch the paint surface. Keep any oil contaminants away from the car. Wipe the entire paint surface with a very clean rag, then finish it off with a tack cloth. Like the painting primer, mix the paint according to vehicle manufacturer’s specifications. It has been said that a “second-best” brand of thinner can be used as it may tend to dry quicker and faster keeping the paint from soaking into the primer or plastic. This type of solvent can be had at your local Canadian Tire superstore. Use the same spray gun and the same pressures as before. Go around the car body twice, putting two coats per painting go-around.
